The IGP Conference Center is located at 1980 Kimball Ave, Manhattan, KS 66506. The easiest way to find us it to find the KSU Bill Snyder Football Stadium east side parking lot. Our IGP Conference Center is directly across from Gate 8 of the parking off Kimball Ave. (Also located across from the KSU Rowing Center). Once you turn in the lot the building will be to your right.

Parking

There is free parking for our participants and guests. Please park in the center row where the sign reads "IGP Guest". We are on the north side of campus but still considered on campus. (The north row of our parking lot is for KSU permits) Please park in the "Guest" area. KSU Parking Services does patrol randomly and will ticket our guest and they are not forgiving when we ask for parking grace. Parking tickets are $50.00.

Our Building

All sessions of the course unless otherwise specified as a field trip are held in the classroom. The classroom tends to be on the chilly side so please dress accordingly you may want to bring a light jacket/sweater. The IGP office hours are 7:00 AM-5:00 PM-Monday -Friday.

KSU Smoking Policy

Smoking is a public health and fire hazard. Locations, where smoking is allowed, shall be restricted in order to prevent infringements upon others; and create and maintain an environment and culture that is in the best interests of the safety, health and well-being of all users of university property.

Field Trips and Tours

Please review the agenda for your course. If a Hal Ross Flour Mill or O.H. Kruse Feed Mill tour is included on the activities for the course you will need to wear pants and comfortable closed toed shoes to tour the mills, we recommend tennis shoes or boots. Many courses will include a field trip to a farm and then comfortable clothes and shoes are highly suggested, as the weather is variable.

Please dress according to the weather it is, Kansas experiences all four seasons which means in the summertime sunscreen is recommended while a heavy jacket is needed in the winter months. If the field trips require any other safety necessities such as a hard hat, safety glasses hair net or earplugs we will provide that for participants.

Snacks, Lunch and Dinner

We will offer a light snack for the morning and afternoon break while you are here. The afternoon break usually consists of some of our K-State famous Call Hall ice cream or Grain Science and Industry – Bakery Club cookies. Lunch is provided by the IGP Institute with your course registration. We also have refreshments such as coffee, water and tea service to participants throughout the day.

Many of our hotel partners will offer a full hot breakfast when you check in please just let the front desk know that you are a guest with the IGP courses. Also, let them know that your communication by IGP mentioned that breakfast was all inclusive of the rate. They will direct you to how breakfast works at their property.

Please review your Agenda to see if dinner is included in your registration fee or on your own.

Transportation

From Manhattan Regional Airport to Manhattan

Hotel Shuttle: If you are flying into the Manhattan Regional Airport, most hotels have a shuttle available to transport you to and from the airport. Arrangements for the shuttle must be made prior to arrival. Call the hotel you are staying at for more information.

From Kansas City International Airport to Manhattan

If you are traveling with KCI, you can use Arival, a shuttle service specifically for KCI passengers traveling to surrounding cities including Manhattan. There are multiple rental car companies at KCI that you can contact to rent a car to drive to Manhattan. Please make your return transportation plans prior to the end of the course and allow the necessary time to arrive at the Kansas City International airport. Please know that taxis from Kansas City to Manhattan are over $250.00 per person.
